Important Information for all ACE ApplicantsAs of June 30, 2006, according to the NCLB legislation, you will not be eligible for an internship unless you meet the following criteria for being "highly qualified." School districts will not be able to extend you a contract unless you are NCLB "highly qualified."
As of January 1, 2009, according to the Texas Administrative code a student is not eligible for an internship unless they have completed 30 hours of classroom observation. ACE Staff

The Accelerated Certification for Educators (ACE) Program prepares individuals who hold bachelors' degrees for teacher certification by the state of Texas. Lamar State College-Orange is committed to developing individuals who can contribute to society economically, culturally and socially.
