Purpose Statement

The Business Management Program offers several options for the student interested in earning a two-year degree and/or one-year certificate in business.

The Associate of Applied Science in Business Management degree is a two-year technical degree designed to prepare graduates to operate small businesses and for employment opportunities in accounting, supervision and management. This degree provides a well-rounded background in the various business disciplines including accounting, management, marketing, finance, economics and business law.

For those who would like to upgrade current job performance skills for a competitive edge in the workplace, we also offer one-year certificate programs in Entrepreneurship and Accounting.

The Associate of Science degree with a concentration in Business is designed for the student who wishes to transfer credits to any public four-year college in Texas to further their education.   The program provides an introductory course in business principles and various other academic courses required by four-year institutions. 

Our instructors have extensive experience in professions related to the classes they teach and the college maintains close relationships with the local business community to provide students with useful skills and knowledge.

Many courses in the degree program are available to students via distance learning.
