Purpose Statement
This program is designed for individuals considering employment as medical records or health information technicians performing clerical functions. Emphasis is placed on interpersonal communication, familiarization with administrative duties and skill development in medical office functions such as medical office management, reception and scheduling, filing, billing, completion of insurance claims, patient relations, medical terminology and technical procedures.
