This program prepares students to perform duties in medical offices or in health related industries with emphasis on HIPAA and legal compliance, training in medical terminology, claims management, and filing procedures, is part of the program.
The program offers certificates in Medical Office Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Transcriptionist, and an Associates Degree in Medical Office Professional. Front office, billing and coding, Transcriptionist and office managers gain the knowledge required of this ever changing field. You will learn how to handle everything in a medical office setting from patient registration, utilizing Medisoft and QuickMD billing software, to filing insurance claims.
Graduates of the program can get their national certification as a medical insurance and coding specialist through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). This will enable the student to work as a coding and billing specialist nationwide.
