Responsibilities |
Assists in improving the quality of academic advising by providing information, advice, and assistance to students planning to transfer, as well as to new and continuing students; develops, plans, and implements a program for academic transfer of LSC-O graduates to four-year institutions; provides information on the transferability of courses, admissions and programs requirements of four-year colleges and universities; implements strong transfer efforts by working with faculty, administrators, and other academic advisors; meets with and assists graduating students each semester; coordinates transfer trips, tours, and orientation sessions; and performs other related duties as assigned. |
Qualifications |
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Two years experience in a four-year college environment preferred. Requires knowledge of academic advising techniques and computers, applications, and software that support advising. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills required. Must be willing to work extended hours during peak registration periods. Must comply with established college standards and policies. |
