Responsibilities

Picks up paper, rubbish and refuse from college grounds; performs custodial and courier duties as needed; performs repairs and preventative maintenance to college buildings, vehicles, and equipment; operates forklift and utility vehicles; and assists with renovations projects requiring knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, concrete work (building forms and finishing) and basic mechanical skills. Performs other related duties.

Qualifications

Requires two years of experience in general grounds work and repair maintenance and a high school diploma or the equivalent. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions; operate and care for maintenance equipment; perform general repairs and preventative maintenance to college property. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, forklift and utility vehicle and possess a valid Texas driver's license. Security sensitive position is subject to background check. Must comply with established college standards and policies.
