All software installed on LSCO owned computers must have a license supporting its installation. If the software is shareware or freeware the supporting documentation must be readily available if requested.

A license is required for each installation of software. The Computer Center Department will provide the licensing for Microsoft operating systems and for Microsoft Office under a Microsoft campus agreement.

If a new computer is purchased it must be purchased with a copy of a Microsoft OS to be eligible for this program. All future upgrades will be covered under the campus agreement.

The Computer Center Department provides a licensed copy of virus software and terminal emulation software for LSCO-owned computers.
