The Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) is the nationally recognized certification agency for dental assistants. Lamar State College-Orange administers DANB certification tests in paper/pencil format on the following dates:

February 24, 2006
June 9, 2006
October 13, 2006

Site number for Lamar State College-Orange is 0229. Cost of the exam is $225 ($35 non-refundable application fee + $190 examination fee). Additional information and an exam application can be accessed at the DANB website: www.danb.org.


Study guides are available by calling 1-800-FOR-DANB. They can also be ordered online at www.danb.org. The DANB Review can be purchased for $40. The Glossary of Dental Assisting Terms can be purchased for $25, and Task Analysis: 9th Ed for $15.
