Forklift Operator Certificate Training

An OSHA approved fast-track training that includes forklift design, controls and instrumentation; comprehensive pre-use inspection; forklift stability and factors affecting stability and hands-on training and demonstration of proficiency. FEE:  $175

Combination Welder I                                                                   

This program includes instruction in safety, introduction to MIG (FCAW), Stick (SMAW), and TIG (GTAW) welding procedures.  The program also includes Core certification from the National Center for Construction Education and Research : safety, blueprints, math, hand and power tools, workplace behaviors, communication skills. Oxy-acetylene cutting. Air gouging. Materials preparation procedures. Welding in 2G, 4G, and 6G positions.  160 contact hours.  FEE:  $2,750.

Construction Craft Laborer                                                                                

This program will teach students to safely enter the construction profession with skills in three specific areas:  introduction to the craft, site layout and design, and residential and commercial construction techniques.   The program will include the NCCER Core curriculum, which includes modules in employability skills, communication, and work ethics, along with math, blueprints, safety, and hand/power tools.  Additionally, the program will provide students with instruction in carpentry framing and finishing, among other skills. Outcomes for the students will include NCCER Core certification and OSHA 10-hour safety certification.  160 contact hours.  FEE:  $1,875.

Construction Project Manager          

This two-phase program begins with an overview of project management, safety, interpersonal skills, issues and resolution, construction documents, construction planning, estimating, cost control, scheduling, resource control, quality control, and continuous improvement. Part two concludes with instruction in human relations, problem solving, safety, quality control, contract and construction documents, document control, estimating, planning, scheduling, resource control and cost awareness.  Students who successfully pass this course will receive credentials in Construction Project Management and Construction Project Supervision from the National Center for Construction Education and Research.  200 contact hours.  FEE:  $4,000.

TIG Welder

This 3-phase welding program begins with instruction in safety, use of equipment, filler metals, shielding gases. Students will learn how to pad in all positions using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and carbon plate steel, including multi-pass V=butt open groove with carbon plate steel in 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G positions. Phase two of this program transitions to set up of GTAW equipment, procedures and techniques used to make V-groove pipe welds with GTAW in the 1G-ROTATED, 2G, 5G, and 6G positions for carbon steel pipe.  The program concludes with the procedures and techniques used to make V-groove pipe welds with GTAW in the 2G, 5G, and 6G positions for low-alloy and stainless steel pipe.  Diagnostic entrance exam to determine skill level will be administered to students  prior to enrollment.  180 contact hours.  FEE:  $3,595.

Mobile Crane Operator

New operators will learn how to assess sites for access, usability, hazards and restrictions as well as operating in various weather conditions.  Students will also learn safety precautions through the proper use of mats, cribbing, and outriggers or crawlers, lift plans, hand signals and proper communication between work crew, a pre-operational inspection and an operator checklist, as well as emergency response procedures.  Operators will be able to verify the weight of the load, use load chart interpretation and solve  capacity questions, use two-blocking, power lines, and public protection,  load control and tag lines, transporting the crane and its components and a proper shutdown.  Students will learn on both a fixed cab and swing cab mobile crane.  Meets OSHA standard 1926.550.  This training will include a certification examination for the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators.   Presented in partnership with Golden Triangle Industries, Inc. and Total Crane.  80 contact hours.  FEE:  $3,000.
