Area Administrative Professionals Invited to Relax,
Re-fuel at Luncheon
In honor of Administrative Professionals Day, a luncheon will be hosted by Lamar State College-Orange on Wednesday, April 27 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at The Brown Center, located at 4025 Park. The sixth annual luncheon will include a special buffet, a guest presentation by Liz Hogan, stress-busting massages, shopping, door prizes and other fun giveaways. The title of this year’s luncheon is “Working on Motivating a New Woman” and is centered on motivating women to become their best selves.
Speaking at this year’s luncheon is Liz Hogan, co-owner of FitLife in Orange. She will be speaking on “Zumba Fun and Nutrition,” two topics near and dear to her heart. A career fitness instructor, Hogan is a native of Orange and graduated from Lamar University in May, 2002. She began her fitness career in 1998 as an AFFA step certified instructor and has taught at BodyWorkz, DuPont Employees Recreational Association (D.E.R.A.), King’s Gym and the Wellness Center in Beaumont. She currently holds FitTour certification in group fitness and yoga and is also a certified instructor for Zumba fitness.
Hogan and her business partner, Kimberly Tamberella opened FitLife in October of 2008. Together they have volunteered at many of the local schools and charity events to promote the benefits of being physically fit. Hogan is a member of the Greater Orange Chamber of Commerce and the SeaRim Striders, and is also a board member of the Leadership Advisory Board and Helping on Purpose Every Day. She currently serves as director of the Annual Hope for Health 5K Race.
Attendees will have the opportunity to shop at some of the area’s most unique retailers including Minnie Pearls, Scentsy Candles, Home-Made Cards by Sue Ferguson, R&D Jewelry, Melanie Ehrlich Tupperware, Angelique’s Cookies, Cakes, Chocolates and Confections and A Little Bit Gaudy. Mini chair massages will be provided by Sue Kemp Massages. More than a dozen door prizes from the merchants will be awarded throughout the event.
