LSC-O Celebrates Eleventh Season of Distinguished Lecture Series
Mr. Stuart Varney, host of Varney & Co. on the Fox Business Network, spoke at Lamar State College - Orange as part of the college’s Distinguished Lecture Series. Varney appeared at the Lutcher Theater on October 10 and discussed the state of both the national and international economy. He used his wit to entertain the audience while conveying his concerns about current economic policy. His disdain for big government and faith in the free market system were clearly articulated. Following his formal remarks, Varney answered questions from the audience.
In addition to his formal presentation, Varney attended a reception prior to the lecture where he visited guests, signed autographs, and posed for pictures. He met separately with student government representatives, discussing their career objectives and giving them a chance to ask questions about his career and point of view.
