Workforce Development Recognized by State

LSCO’s Workforce Development program accepted the Partnership Award for Community College Engagement at the 22nd Annual Texas Workforce Conference.
The award recognizes LSCO’s contributions to local and statewide workforce efforts.
Dr. Al Barringer, Interim Executive Vice President; Thera Celestine, Director of Workforce Education; Joanie Tandberg, Workforce Coordinator; and Gina Simar, Dean of Technical Studies accepted the award on behalf of LSCO.
In the past several years, Workforce Development has had successful grants with DuPont, Firestone, and Arlanxeo, as well as apprenticeship programs from Orange to Houston.
