LSCO Self-Service Portal

Lamar State College Orange's Self-Service Portal allows students and employees to manage their password and/or unlock their account. The portal also provides a searchable employee directory. Users are required to enroll before they are able to take advantage of the recovery features.

Note: Enrollment is required upon the first login to the application. Users may be prompted to login and enroll when logging into computers on campus.

Enrollment

  1. Visit the LSCO Self-Service Portal home page.
  2. Login using your NetID and current password.
  3. You will be prompted to enroll.
  4. There are three enrollment options:
    • Challenge questions (default)
    • Recovery e-mail (personal e-mail address)
    • Google Authenticator (generates OTP tokens)
  5. Once enrolled you can now use the selected method to recover your account.

Password Change

  1. Visit the LSCO Self-Service Portal home page.
  2. Login using your NetID and current password.
  3. Select the Change Password tab. (Default tab)
  4. Take note of the password policy requirements.
  5. Enter in your old password where labeled and then your new password twice.
  6. Click the change password button.
  7. It will report either a success or a failure message.  If successful, you can log out and use your new password.  If it failed, try again or contact the Help Desk at (409) 882-3033.

Password Reset

  1. Visit the LSCO Self-Service Portal home page.
  2. Select the Reset Password option under the login box.
  3. Enter in your NetID to find your account.  Ex:   flast1@my.lsco.edu
  4. If the account has been enrolled in recovery options, it will ask you to select the desired configured recovery method.
  5. Once you have completed the recovery method, enter in your new desired password twice and press the Change Password button.
  6. It will report either a successful or a failure message. If successful, you can use your new password to login. If it failed, you can attempt a change again without recompleting the recovery method.

Account Unlock

  1. Visit the LSCO Self-Service Portal home page.
  2. Select the Unlock Account option under the login box.
  3. Enter your NetID to find your account.  Ex: flast1@my.lsco.edu
  4. If the account has enrolled in recovery options, it will ask you to select the desired configured recovery method.
  5. When you have completed the recovery method, enter the captcha and click Unlock Account.
  6. It will report either a successful or a failure message.  If successful your account is now unlocked.  If it has failed, note the failure message and contact the Help Desk at (409) 882-3033.

Directory Search

  1. Visit the LSCO Self-Service Portal home page.
  2. In the top right hand corner click in the box that says “Search Employee”.
  3. Type the name or portion of the name of the employee for which you are seeking contact information.
  4. After pressing enter, a list of accounts matching the search criteria will load.
