Meet the 2026 LSCO Student Ambassadors

The Lamar State College Orange (LSCO) Ambassador Scholarship awards recipients with a full year’s tuition, networking opportunities, and leadership growth. Applicants must meet prestigious requirements, one of which includes being in the top 25% of their graduating class. To be considered, students must apply, submit an essay, provide a letter of recommendation, and interview with the Ambassador Committee. The duties of an ambassador range from working campus-wide events to participating in community service initiatives as a representative of LSCO.

Chloe Abshire – Chloe graduated from a homeschool program and will be pursuing a degree in Natural Science. Chloe also currently serves as President in the Student Government Association on campus and has completed numerous dual credit courses.
Abigail Freeman – Abigail is a graduate from Evadale High School, and will be pursuing Dental Assisting at LSCO to support her future goal of Dental Hygiene.
Nevaeh Green – Nevaeh is a graduate from West Orange-Stark High School, and will be pursuing her degree in Liberal Arts. She was able to complete dual credit courses which helped her in graduating from high school a year early.
Kyle Karner – Kyle graduated from a homeschool program and will be pursuing his degree in Registering Nursing. He has also completed quite a few pre-requisite college courses as a LSCO dual credit student.
Hannah Leblanc – Hannah graduated from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School, and will be pursuing Dental Assisting to support a career in Dental Hygiene.
Derek Lopez – Derek also graduated from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School, and will be pursuing his degree in Liberal Arts to later pursue Diagnostic Imaging. Derek has completed several courses as a dual credit student.
