What is FAME?

The Texas Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (TX FAME) at Lamar State College Orange prepares students for high-tech, high-paying careers in advanced manufacturing. This innovative program combines classroom learning with hands-on work experience, creating a skilled workforce pipeline for our regional industry partners.

As a FAME student, you'll work three days per week with a sponsoring company while attending classes two days per week at LSCO. After five semesters, you'll graduate with an Associate of Applied Science degree, 60 college credit hours, and two years of valuable work experience—potentially debt-free!
