LSCO uses various text messaging systems to communicate with applicants and students using the contact information provided during the application process. These messages may include emergency alerts, enrollment reminders, financial aid and scholarship updates, event notifications, and other important college communications. Message and data rates may apply.

By providing a mobile number on your application, you authorize LSCO to send informational and promotional text messages to that number. These messages may be sent using automated or non-automated technology. Message frequency may vary.

You may opt out of text messaging at any time by replying STOP to any message. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of admission, enrollment, or participation in any LSCO service or program.

By opting in to receive text messages from Lamar State College Orange (LSCO), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Types of Messages

By providing your mobile number and consenting to receive text messages, you may receive:

  • Admissions and Enrollment Alerts (application deadlines, missing documents, acceptance notifications)
  • Financial Aid and Scholarship Updates (FAFSA reminders, award notifications, required documentation)
  • Academic and Advising Notifications (registration reminders, appointment confirmations, course updates)
  • Student Account Information (billing notices, payment reminders, holds)
  • Campus Safety and Emergency Alerts (weather closings, urgent safety messages)
  • General Campus Updates (event announcements, student services information)

2. Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on your enrollment status and interactions with LSCO offices.

3. Cost

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier. LSCO does not charge a fee for this service.

4. Opt-Out

You can opt out of LSCO text messaging at any time by replying STOP to any LSCO message. After opting out, you will no longer receive non-emergency messages but may still receive critical campus safety alerts as required by law.

5. Help

6. Privacy

Your information is protected in accordance with LSCO’s Privacy Policy. We will never sell or share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes.
