Dear LSCO Gator family,
As we approach a new academic and fiscal year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for everything you accomplished during the past year. Because of your talent, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our students, Lamar State College Orange continued to achieve remarkable success and advance our mission of transforming lives through education in a monumental way!
Together, we celebrated milestones that reflect the strength of our college and the heart of our people. We welcomed students from across our region and beyond, supported them through challenges and opportunities, expanded pathways to higher education, strengthened partnerships, and changed the trajectory of countless lives. Every graduate who crossed the stage, every student who persisted through adversity, and every success story that emerged from our classrooms and offices is a direct result of your work.
What makes LSCO special is not simply what we accomplish, but HOW we accomplish it. We lead with compassion. We serve with purpose. We believe in the potential of every student who entrusts us with their future. Our motto, "Your Future, Our Focus," is more than a tagline. It is a promise that each of you fulfills every day through your teaching, service, innovation, and support. Each of YOU are the cornerstone of our impact.
I am also pleased to share some encouraging news. Pending final approval by the Texas State University System Board of Regents, LSCO staff and full-time faculty who taught during the previous academic year will receive a cost-of-living adjustment for fiscal year 2027. This adjustment will be at least a 3% increase or $2,000, whichever is greater. While this adjustment can never fully capture the value of your contributions and tireless efforts, I hope it serves as a meaningful recognition of the dedication and excellence you bring to LSCO every day, in every way.
Please know how grateful I am for each of you. The success of this institution is built on your efforts, your passion, and your belief in our students. Thank you for the countless ways you contribute to our campus community and for the difference you make in the lives of those we serve.
