Program Options

Lamar State College Orange offers courses in vocational nursing, nursing transition programs, phlebotomy, and medical assisting.

The Vocational Nursing program is a competency-based program designed to prepare Lamar State College Orange graduates to become licensed vocational nurses (LVN). This program is ideal for students who do not want to spend more than two years in an education program but desire a career in nursing.

Vocational Nursing

The Registered Nursing (RN) Transition program is a one-year program for licensed vocational nurses (LVN) that fosters the development of critical thinking skills in the clinical environment.

Registered Nursing Transition Program

The Phlebotomy non-credit program teaches all aspects of the field through a combination of classroom and/or online coursework and clinical, hands-on training.

Phlebotomy Program
