Hazardous Materials Endorsement

Lamar State College Orange offers online Hazardous Material (HM) endorsement training that is 100% compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Regulations. Federal and state laws require a Hazardous Materials (HM) Endorsement on a motorist’s Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to operate a motor vehicle used to transport hazardous materials in commerce.

According to government regulations, hazardous materials may include:

  • Explosives.
  • Gases.
  • Some solids.
  • Flammable and combustible liquids.
  • Other materials that may cause harm.

Without a HAZMAT endorsement, you may be limited in what you are allowed to transport with a standard commercial driver's license.
