Jason Baldwin has been appointed Vice President for Finance and Operations / Chief Financial Officer for Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT), Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) and Lamar State College Orange (LSCO).

“Each of these colleges play an important role in serving students, strengthening our community and preparing graduates for meaningful careers and service,” said Baldwin. “I look forward to helping advance that mission through strong stewardship, collaboration and a continued focus on student success.”

Baldwin brings an extensive background in higher education financial leadership, with experience guiding institutional financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, strengthening internal controls, supporting long-term planning and aligning resources with mission-driven priorities.
He previously served as Senior Associate Vice President for Financial Services at Lamar University, where he provided leadership and oversight for key financial operations and helped guide initiatives focused on long-term financial sustainability, process improvement regulatory compliance, internal controls and operational resiliency.

Baldwin also served in financial leadership roles at Marshall University, including Interim Chief Financial Officer. During his time at Marshall University, he helped lead the university’s financial strategy and operations, overseeing an over $300 million institutional budget and supporting major initiatives in budgeting, financial reporting, debt management, audit compliance and financial planning.

Baldwin holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Liberty University. He is deeply committed to financial stewardship in higher education and to building effective, transparent and resilient financial systems that support student success, workforce development and the long-term growth of the communities we serve.
