Dual Credit Students

More than 40 local high school students were recognized by Lamar Orange this week for completing coursework through the Dual Credit program.

Students from West Orange Stark High School, Orangefield High School, and Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School earned certificates and pins in one of four Lamar Orange technical programs while still high school students.

At the ceremony, Lamar Orange President Dr. Michael Shahan congratulated the students for their achievements and Dr. Suzonne Crockett, Director of Mathematics, Education, and Leisure Learning, gave a presentation encouraging the students to continue their education, no matter what circumstances come their way.

Program Directors awarded the students their certificates and pins: Basic Nursing, Jessica Montgomery; EMT, Richard Land; Pharmacy Technology, Thera Celestine; and Process Technology, Earl Geis.

The students’ families and friends were also present to celebrate their accomplishments.
