Handbook Update Policy
LSCO employs the following procedure to update the Administrative Policies and Procedures Handbook (Handbook) as necessary:
- Maintenance of the LSCO Administrative Policies and Procedures Handbook (Handbook) is the responsibility of the Office of Human Resources. The Handbook is filed as an MS Word document in a shared drive accessible by permission only and maintained by the Human Resource office. Versions of previous Handbooks are also archived on the shared drive.
- The Policy for Creating and Reviewing College Policies (1.3) outlines the procedures and required approvals for drafting new or amending existing Administrative Policies and Procedures in a consistent manner.
- The Human Resource Manager or designee is responsible for updating the Handbook once a policy has been created or revised and approved by the Policy Review Council, the President’s Cabinet, and the President. The red-lined, updated version of the Handbook is saved to the shared drive with the date of revision in the file name.
- Once the Word version of the Handbook has been updated and saved to the share drive, the Human Resource Manager or designee will use the following procedures to update the web version of the Handbook
- access the OmniUpdate Modern Campus web page production site,
- update each policy as necessary,
- save the updates and submit to the LSCO Web Administrator to be reviewed and approved for release to the public.
- After confirming that the updated version of the Handbook is ready for publication, the LSCO Web Administrator releases the updated version of the site.
