How to Transfer

  1. Meet with Your LSCO Advisor. Work with your academic advisor to make sure your coursework aligns with your intended degree at Lamar University. Request an unofficial transcript review to confirm which credits will transfer.
  2. Apply for Admission. Submit your application through Lamar University’s transfer admissions page. Be sure to select "Transfer Student" as your student type.
  3. Send Your Transcripts. Request official transcripts from LSCO (and any other institutions attended) be sent directly to Lamar University's admissions office.
  4. Check Course Equivalencies. Use Lamar University's transfer equivalency tools to confirm how your LSCO courses apply toward your bachelor's degree.
  5. Apply for Financial Aid. Complete the FAFSA at studentaid.gov and list Lamar University's school code. Explore scholarships specifically for transfer students.
  6. Register for Classes. Once admitted, connect with your new advisor at Lamar University to register for your first semester of classes.
