Lifesavers!
Lifesavers! are 1-hour student success workshops offered by the staff of the OASIS, and the Office of Learning Technology each semester. Program benefits include:
- Learning key skills for academic success at LSCO.
- Access to important tools and resources to help you excel in your coursework.
- Opportunity to receive certificates of attendance or completion for your participation.
How to Attend a Workshop
- Register to Attend - Select the upcoming workshop you'd like to attend and register via the Lifesavers! Calendar.
- Join the Workshop - Make note of the workshop delivery options. We offer face-to-face workshops held on campus, virtual workshops through Microsoft Teams, or self-paced workshops through Blackboard.
- Get Your Certificate - A follow-up email after the session with a certificate of attendance. Certificates of attendance will be sent out within 24 hours of virtual or face-to-face sessions, and certificates of completion will be awarded for self-paced workshops to those who pass the topic quiz.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our face-to-face sessions are typically held in the library in lab 131 or in the OASIS Tutoring Center unless otherwise specified on the Lifesavers! Calendar. Students are encouraged to register for these sessions via the Lifesavers! Calendar in order to receive email reminders about the session and a follow-up email after the session with a certificate of attendance. Certificates of attendance will be sent out within 24 hours of the session.
To enroll in the Lifesavers! Blackboard Organization:
- Login to Blackboard
- Click on the Lifesavers! Course link
- Click on "+ Enroll" located on the left
- Click on Submit button
- Click the OK button
You are now enrolled! Students only need to enroll once per semester. For assistance enrolling, please contact lifesavers@lsco.edu.
