Lamar State College Orange partners with Lamar University Police Department to provide professional law enforcement and safety services to our campus community. Campus Police officers are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
What to Do in Case of Emergency
In the event of a campus emergency:
- Follow instructions from Campus Police and emergency personnel
- Check your LSCO email for campus-wide emergency announcements
- Visit the LSCO website homepage for alert banners regarding campus closures or urgent safety information
- Sign up for emergency notifications through your student portal

Keep Your Property Secure
- Vehicle Safety: Always lock your car when you park and go to class. Hide items of value from view or take them with you.
- Personal Belongings: Don't leave personal items like backpacks, laptops, or phones unattended around campus.

Vehicle Assistance Services
Campus Police provides free vehicle assistance services to help you get back on the road quickly:
- Jump Start: Dead battery assistance
- Tire Assistance: Air up low tires

Campus Security Procedures
Report a Crime or Suspicious Activity
If you see something, say something. Report any crimes, suspicious activity, or safety concerns immediately to Campus Police. Your vigilance helps keep our campus safe for everyone.
