LSCO Celebrates Better Business Bureau Accreditation

ORANGE, TX – Lamar State College Orange (LSCO) has been recognized as an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), marking a significant milestone in the college’s commitment to transparency, accountability and ethical practices. 

BBB accreditation is awarded to organizations that meet the Better Business Bureau’s eight Standards of Trust including: building trust, advertising honestly, telling the truth, honoring promises, being transparent, embodying integrity, safeguarding privacy and responding promptly to complaints. Accredited organizations are permitted to display the BBB seal, a widely recognized symbol of ethical operations and public trust. 

The accreditation reflects Lamar State College Orange’s ongoing efforts to operate with integrity while serving students, employees and the broader community. The college officially received its BBB accreditation seal in a community ceremony on Friday, February 6, 2026. 

“We are truly honored to be an accredited institution with the Better Business Bureau” said Dr. Wendy Elmore, president of LSCO. “This recognition affirms our commitment to operating with integrity, transparency and accountability as we serve our students, employees and the communities that place their trust in us.” 

As part of the accreditation process, Lamar State College Orange demonstrated that its policies, procedures and institutional practices align with BBB standards, earning full approval from the organization. 

The accreditation also provides an additional layer of assurance for prospective students, parents, and community partners, indicating that the college adheres to high standards of transparency and accountability in its operations. 

LSCO will now display the BBB seal across applicable platforms, reinforcing its commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement.
