Workforce Court Reporting Courses
The A to Z program is a FREE 6-week online course to learn the basics of steno writing and discover if a career in captioning or court reporting is right for you.
Project Steno’s Basic Training course is a free, hands-on intro-to-steno course where you will learn the rudiments of machine shorthand theory. In just six virtual sessions, you’ll discover how the magic is done!
This advanced course is designed for students who have completed the theory education and are working strictly on speed building. The goal of this course is to prepare Court Reporting students to take the Texas Certified Shorthand Reporter examination given by the Judicial Branch Certification Commission of Texas and/or the Registered Professional Reporter examination given by the National Court Reporters Association.
This last speed-building course is in-person and follows regular LSCO semester timelines. It is designed to be repeated until the student reaches the exit speeds of 225 Q&A, 200 Jury Charge, and 180 Literary. Tuition includes access to the Realtime Coach platform
